# Welcome to The Bounty Bar

The Bounty Bar (TBB) is a virtual hangout created for future players of the Star Atlas game and metaverse. In its economics whitepaper ([page 13](https://staratlas.com/economics-paper.pdf)), Star Atlas specifically carved out a niche for “social developers” who will craft and operate “social buildings” (e.g., clubs, theaters etc.) within the game. TBB plans on being the first bar in Star Atlas.

At its heart, TBB’s “real world” vision is to build a strong and vibrant community around Star Atlas, become an important fixture in the game’s evolving lore, and to be part of eventual gameplay. 

Our "virtual world" vision is to be the watering hole within the Star Atlas “AAA” game. A safe place in neutral territory where you check your weapons at the door and then boast about your combat victories; or whine to others about your day; or share a drink with friends; or check the “Bounty Board” for your next job.
